community

Community is one of my favorite shows at the moment.  Very unfortunate news about Dan Harmon being replaced as showrunner on his own show.  Here’s a picture I did of one of my favorite episodes this season.

I’m working on my perspective drawing currently.  Here’s some quick studies based off scenes in Mad Men.

The offices of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce.

The Silver Fox.

Heisenberg

Walter White: husband, father, cancer survivor, occasional patron of the Los Pollos Hermanos chicken establishment, and a damn fine meth cook.

Never too early to be excited for this show to eventually return.  In the meantime, Bryan Cranston seems to be in every other movie, so there’s enough Cranston to go around.

Britty McEnglish plays a great Sherlock.

As proper as an Englishman can be. Which is very.

Also known as Benedict Cumberbatch.  But really, is that any less British?

I’m a big fan of the BBC series.  And although I’ve not visited the land across the pond as of yet, the show’s muted color palette really reinforces the image of a grey and gloomy England in my mind’s eye.  A magical place of Arthurian mythology, filled with dragons, Monty Python, and gangsters from Guy Ritchie movies.  None of which helps them get any sunshine.

Critics Love Liquored Hamm!

jon hamm, mad men

Boozin' and smokin' the workday away. Oh, the 60s.

This month sees the long-awaited return of one of my favorite TV shows, Mad Men.  Besides the great storytelling, I love the stylized 60s aesthetic, even in images that promote the show, like the Mad Men logo that provided the inspiration for this doodle.

Don Draper is a fascinating character, and Jon Hamm just exudes all kinds of cool.
